I am so honored and grateful that my work “The Shining Lady” was selected for the Me&Eve Award held by @centersantafe
It’s a story about my grandma Tsuyajyo (her name means “the shining lady” in Japanese), who lived with dementia until winter 2020, when she passed away at the age of 100.
In the photographs, she doesn’t seem so shining, and the story itself is about a small event that happened in a small town. She was the shining lady just to me, and I hope the photographs remind someone of someone precious.
I am so grateful that it was selected by Ms. Leonor Mamina, the juror of this award. I’m really looking forward to going to Santa Fe this November!

This Sunday, I will be at the Tosa City Sunday Market “Between the Sea and the Mountain” to shoot by box camera.
It’s my first time at this event & it’s been a while since I’ve shot outdoors, so I’m nervous, but soooo excited!

I’m glad it looks like it’s going to be a nice sunny day!

Kochi Art Warming is a group of artists from various genres such as theater, ballet, jazz dance, flute, and classical music, who come together under the concept of “warming the heart through art”.

Their second performance of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” will be held on September 25 at Tosa City Cultural Complex Tsunade.

Based on Shakespeare’s comedy, the performance includes music, dance, and even comic dialogue! A performance that you can enjoy.
I produced a video for the play.

The Umi-Umi-Exhibition is held every year around this time at Morita Utsuwa Seisakusho in Tosa City.

I’m exhibiting again this year.
