"Brazil", where I spent three months starting around February 2013, now seems like my own fictional country.
My visit to Brazil began when I landed at the Sao Paulo airport with no special purpose in mind. Before my departure, a friend recommended the book "Columbus' Dog" by Keijiro Suga, and reading it while traveling, for example, while drinking beer at a bar or on a long-distance bus, was like following in the footsteps of my predecessors. If I had not been recommended this book, my Brazil would have been much different.
